Here it is! I am so proud of my son, Isaiah! This was a tough series for them to even keep there heads up in.

Let me back up, and tell you how they came to this spot. My son started out in Summerville Little League. He was a catcher for his team, this year. At the end of the year, the coaches nominate the best players on their team, only one catch. The coaches can only select two players from their team.

The selection is divided into divisions for the league. You have coach pitch, minors, majors, and seniors. Only the top one or two player off of each team in that division are nominated and only 13 are selected. Keep in mind that we had 56 team this year. Isaiah was number one pick for his position, catcher. Four other boys were nominated, but Isaiah was the one that held the position, and was taken to All Stars. The played against another All Star team from Summerville. They have an American and Nationals team. Isaiah was on the American. They played a three game series. First game was against Crowfield. The boys worked hard, played hard and smashed the other team. The final score was 19-0 in the top of the fourth inning. The were so excited excited. The game was called in the fourth inning, due to a 10 run game rule. That way they don't feel worse then they already do. Next game was against the National League Summerville team. That game was tie all the way through till the last inning. This game was so intense. The boys would go to the field and get in position and catch all the balls or strike them out at first base. Then come right back in. The other team would do the same. It was so frustration to those boys. The last up to bat for the other team, dumb errors let them win the game. They brought in runs they shouldn't have gotten. So they took the loss bad.

The boys took it hard, thinking they would not go any further. The next night, the National team from Summerville played Crowfield. They killed them 17-0 top of the 4th inning. That put Summerville back into the lead for State Championship. Now I will be honest. If I would have know how bad they were going to be killed in State I would have never wanted them to go.

The kids that went to state, no from Summerville. Those kids were suppose to be selected from the top kids from each league. However they did not do that, they put all the travel ball kids on the top teams so there was no competition at all for those pour kids. They were slaughtered right out the gate. They couldn't keep up with the kids. These kids were so good that they made NO errors. No over throws, no mistakes.

Our kids were crushed and it was so sad to see them leave the park every night knowing that the next day they were going to do it again. They went through this constant beating 5 games.

However on their bright side, after being verbally abused by the coach. Crushed spirits and heart broken these kids came back to the park the next day and played the game of there lives.

They played a team that was up on them 4-1 in the top of the third inning. I decided a peep talk was in order. I looked at those boys and said " You boys are better then this. Don't let them win, you are not that far down you can get three runs in one inning".

The boys came up to bat, got on base, second boy came to bat, hit it rolled to there short stop and he picked it up, threw the ball and the first base men missed the ball. The boy contiued around to second base and the first boy made it home. Third boy hit and brings in the other two boys and now they are tied. They stayed tied till the sixth inning where they made one mistake and lost the game. However, they worked hard and got back on top. Now they are finished and they did great considering what they went through to come back and loose anyway. So long story short I think I have a pretty great kid. Played hard was verbally abused by his coach and still played for him anyhow.

This is the final picture of the year! Isaiah you are awsome.
